Zawar Hussain
About Me
I am currently a Senior Lecturer in Data Science at Sydney Polytechnic Institute, Sydney, Australia. I am also the Course Coordinator for the Master's in Data Science program. I am an Honorary Research Fellow at Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia. Before joining SPI, I worked as a Postdoc Research Fellow at University of New South Wales (UNSW). I did my PhD from Macquarie University in 2022. I am a recipient of the International Research Training Program Scholarship from the Australian Government. I earned my Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Computer System Engineering from Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIKI), Pakistan, in 2013 and 2015, respectively.
My area of research includes Pervasive Computing, Data Analytics, Machine Learning, the Internet of Things, Human Activity Recognition, Ambient Assisting Living, Digital Health, Remote Healthcare, Time Series Data, and Active Queue Management.
